Terms of Service
Last updated 29 August 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to Vevesh during private preview, early access, and any paid team knowledge-base programs. By creating an account, requesting access, or using the Service, you agree on behalf of yourself or the organization you represent.
Vevesh is built for professionals — lawyers, engineers, scientists, researchers, consultants, and teams — who require citation-grounded AI over folders they already trust. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Vevesh provides folder-native indexing, hybrid retrieval (vector + keyword), multi-provider AI routing, extraction engines, verification loops, team knowledge bases, evidence reporting, and optional self-hosted deployment paths.
Features evolve during preview. We may add, modify, or retire functionality with notice to design partners when changes materially affect workflows you rely on.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least eighteen and able to form a binding contract.
- You must have authority to connect folders and corpora you index.
- Access may be invitation-only during preview.
- You are responsible for credentials, MFA where offered, and all activity under your account.
- Administrators are responsible for RBAC configuration and team invitations.
3. Customer Data and ownership
You retain ownership of source materials, deliverables, and outputs you create. Vevesh receives a limited license to host, process, transmit, and display Customer Data solely to provide and improve the Service as permitted by these Terms and your settings.
You represent that you have rights to index and process Customer Data and that doing so does not violate law, contract, or third-party rights.
4. Acceptable use
Vevesh assists professional judgment; it does not replace licensed engineers, attorneys, physicians, or other regulated professionals. You remain responsible for sign-off on safety-critical, legal, or compliance outcomes.
- Use the Service for lawful professional, research, and business purposes.
- Do not probe other tenants, bypass isolation, or attempt unauthorized access.
- Do not upload malware or content you lack rights to process.
- Do not use the Service to generate unlawful content or automate decisions prohibited in your jurisdiction without human review.
- Do not scrape, resell, or build a competing service using unauthorized API access.
- Do not misrepresent AI outputs as human-authored where disclosure is required.
5. AI outputs and citations
- AI outputs may be incorrect, incomplete, or outdated despite citation grounding and verification loops.
- Citations link to indexed artifacts at generation time; source files may change after indexing.
- Ghost disclosure modes limit citation visibility by design — configure modes appropriately for client deliverables.
6. Fees, billing, and taxes
6.1 Team knowledge bases
- Subscriptions may be billed via Stripe per knowledge base or seat model described at onboarding.
- Metered charges may apply for server extraction, embeddings, and premium model lanes.
- Prices exclude taxes unless stated; you are responsible for applicable VAT/GST/sales tax.
6.2 Preview pricing
Design partners may receive promotional allowances or discounted metering during preview. We will provide reasonable notice before converting to standard pricing.
6.3 Non-payment
- We may suspend access after notice for overdue amounts.
- You remain responsible for fees accrued before suspension.
7. Confidentiality
Each party may receive confidential information. The receiving party will use at least reasonable care to protect it and use it only for the purpose of the relationship. Customer Data is confidential. Vevesh may identify you as a design partner only with your consent.
8. Intellectual property
- Vevesh owns the platform, software, documentation, and brand.
- Feedback you provide may be used without obligation or compensation.
- Open-source components remain under their respective licenses.
9. Availability and support
Unless separately contracted, preview Service is provided without guaranteed uptime SLA. We target engineering-grade reliability and communicate maintenance windows to design partners.
Support channels and response targets are described during onboarding.
10. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ACCURACY OF AI OUTPUTS.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, Vevesh WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL.
OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS IN ANY TWELVE-MONTH PERIOD IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO Vevesh IN THAT PERIOD OR (B) ONE HUNDRED EUROS, EXCEPT WHERE LIABILITY CANNOT BE LIMITED BY LAW.
12. Indemnification
You will indemnify Vevesh against third-party claims arising from your Customer Data, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of law — except to the extent caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct.
13. Termination
- You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time.
- We may suspend or terminate for material breach, abuse, or non-payment after notice where required.
- Upon termination, your access ends; deletion of Customer Data follows our Privacy Policy retention rules.
- Sections that by nature should survive (IP, liability, indemnity, governing law) survive termination.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Denmark, excluding conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory consumer protection law in your country requires otherwise.
Disputes will first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved within sixty days, courts in Copenhagen, Denmark have exclusive jurisdiction, unless EU consumer rules grant you local forum rights.
15. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified at least thirty days in advance to active accounts when practicable. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
